An ATA Carnet is basically a passport for your equipment. It is an international customs document package that producers and exporters often use when shipping equipment, most commonly camera gear, between countries.
The ATA Carnet itself is, essentially, a list of all equipment and other important professional and personal items you may be bringing with you when filming in another country. These are items you will be bringing back out of the country when your production is complete (within one year of entry). By registering your items on this document package, you can transport these items both in and out of the countries that recognize the Carnet (70 countries/territories, effectively the ATA Carnet Countries) and typically pass through customs much quicker and with no V.A.T. or other Taxes or Duty required.
As a service to our Users, MyFilmCrews.com indicates if the Country you are searching is an ATA Carnet Country. ATA Carnet Countries are those Countries that recognize the Carnet and abide by it’s terms. (ATA is an acronym for “Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission”).
The list of ATA Carnet Countries is subject to change at any time. For complete and up-to-date information as well as related costs, contact your exporter, customs broker or visit http://www.atacarnet.com.

MyFilmCrews.com presents high resolution video to the marketplace that creates the content itself. So playback quality needs to be exceptional.
Presenting high quality video online requires a large amount of data to be transferred. Depending upon your connection speed and the age and capability of your computer will affect your viewing capability.
The Video Playback capabilities of MyFilmCrews.com are such that we provide different streams to present Video in the highest resolution and largest player size to best accommodate your connection speed and computer’s capability. In addition, we stream our designed to play without buffering or stalls. We offer playback in up to four options:
SQ = this is our default player size. It is designed for the most common connection speed, that of basic DSL or Cable. It is a large player with very high resolution.
HD = this is our true 720p High Definition Player. Many sites claim High Definition, but really are just presenting a high resolution image – not true High Def. All our players have very high resolution, but to be High Definition the image needs to be a 720 by 1280 pixels.
To view showreels in High Definition, like all online services providing true High Definition, you will need high speed connection with a transfer speed of over 3MB per second. Additionally, you will need a computer monitor that is large enough to view this larger player size. HD, being a 1280 by 720 pixel aspect ration is only possible in our 16:9 Player.
HQ = This is our very large player with a super high resolution image. Larger than our SQ Player. Most computers can comfortably display this larger player. Most higher speed (and some basic) DSL and Cable connections can easily play this image.
LQ = If you are on an old computer or having slow connection speeds, this is our fall back player so you can still view our Video. While the player size is a bit smaller (but still larger than many video sites), rest assured that the image is still high resolution and Showreel worthy.
True 720 High Definition is based upon, in part, a screen resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. Anyone claiming to present a 4:3 image in “High Definition” is most likely showing a non-High Definition image in a 720 HD sized player. While their player size may be 1280 by 720, the actual image they are presenting is still just a 4:3 non-high definition image, either pillarboxed in the space, or enlarged, and possibly cropped, to fit the space. MyFilmCrews.com’s High Definition player and image is true 720p High Definition and is only possible in a 16:9 Player.
Our large format, HQ 4:3 image is, by most accounts, at optimum resolution for that format.
Showreel presentation on MyFilmCrews.com is designed to play without stalling or buffering. We deliver the video to your computer via a streaming, very high peak bandwidth connection. If you are experiencing issues please review the following:
1. You need, at least, basic DSL or Cable to best watch our showreels. If your connection speed is above 700kbs you should have no issue viewing our SQ setting, or higher. SQ has been tested on 500kbs connections with no issues.
Most problems are due to your connection speed being temporarily lower than normal. This is not uncommon on Cable connections when there are many users sharing the cable in your neighborhood or office.
One solution is to play at our LQ setting. This is designed to flawlessly play at speeds lower than even the slowest advertised DSL or Cable speeds.
If your connection speed is not the issue, then the problem may be that your computer is too old (see the next point).
2. Your computer is more than two years old and may not be able to process high bitrate video.
3. Having multiple programs open also add to your computer’s processing tasks. Closing unneeded programs may resolve poor playback.

A Global Category is a category not specific to any particular location. Categories ending with (G) are Global Categories.
Certain Categories are industry-wide rather than location specific. We note such categories as Global Categories. Some of these are Trade Magazines, Industry Award Shows, Stock Footage Houses, or Industry Websites such as MyProductionGuide.com that service the worldwide industry rather than a specific location.
Most categories on MyFilmCrews.com generate results specific to a location. If a user is searching a category such as Make-up Artist in Melbourne, Australia the resulting list will only show Make-up Artists for that location. If a person is searching a Global Category in Melbourne, the resulting list will show those based in Melbourne as well as all other worldwide locations.
